Original expressionist oil on canvas painting from Denmark by Karsten Hallberg Møller (1944-2023). The landscape has a dramatic dark and cloudy sky with a dark treeline and a few houses behind the green fields. With visible brushstrokes and slightly textured surface, this rural countryside painting has both a calm atmosphere and a “calm before storm” feeling. The colors are kept in earthy tones such as green, grey and brown. Karsten Hallberg Møller (1944-2023) was a renowned artist residing in Northern Jutland where he obtained most of his inspiration from the area surrounding his hometown Maribo.
